ris-3.pngIn 2014, a branch of JSC "MOESK" - Moscow Cable Grids will complete the program of translation of overhead lines with bare wire into the power lines with modern self-supporting insulated wire (SSIW).

The planned amount of work is more than 21 km, including nearly 19.7 km - 0.4 kV lines, 1.65 km - 6-10 kV lines. The program will greatly enhance the reliability of electricity supply to customers, quality of energy transmission, as well as provide a reduction in technical and commercial losses in the grid.

From the year beginning, the energy specialists of MCG branch have completed the work on translation of overhead power lines into SSIW at grid sections of 8 km in total length. Dynamics of works performance exceeds that of previous years: from 6.45 km in 2010 to 7.19 km in 2013.

Over the past years, MOESK holds all new construction of distribution grids using a self-supporting insulated wire. For example, as from April of this year, connection of customers of the Horticultural Non-commercial Partnership "Green Zone" to the electric grid has been held. New overhead lines with voltage 10 kV and 0.4 kV have been constructed, which provided electricity supply to gardening plots using insulated wires. Let us also note that the translation of the wires into SSIW means a significant increase in safety operation of power grids for consumers. Furthermore, use of SSIW eliminates the formation of ice on the wires.

Let us remind that the capital program of the Moscow Cable Grids related with translation of power lines into SSIW is a part of the investment program and general technical policy of JSC "MOESK". The future development of the distribution grids includes plans for replacement of bare wire throughout the Moscow Area territory included in the responsibility zone of the energy company.
