On the Eve of Knowledge Day, MOESK Delivered Energy Capacity to 22 Educational Institutions of Capital City's Region

Moscow Cable Grids – a branch of JSC "MOESK" has delivered the capacity to the schools of Moscow, within the framework of the city program for the network development of the educational institutions of the capital city.

The current year the electric grid company built 5 and reconstructed 4 transformer substations (TS) with the total capacity of over 8 MVA. The power engineers performed the necessary works to switch on 21 educational institutions on the eve of the Knowledge Day. Re-laying of the feed cable lines (CL) 0.4 kV with the length of over 1.3 km has been made; CL to 1 kV – 750 meters and 2.9 km of 10 kV CL. Other construction works have been performed.

Last year 12 schools and blocks of initial classes were constructed in Moscow, in the plans for year 2014 their number has increased significantly. Thanks to the work of the power engineers of the Moscow Cable Lines, the general education schools, music school and blocks of initial classes have got the capacity to cover their needs. Besides that, the reconstruction has been made on a series of other educational facilities, what has made it possible for the institutions to connect the new equipment, and has increased significantly the reliability and quality of the power supply.

"Education – is the basis, on which our future is constructed, - comments director of the Moscow Cable Grids Roman Voynov. – But we know the experts' opinion, that the need in places in the general education schools will grow. We face the objective to open new schools. We understand that in the years to come we will have to help the city authorities in solving this problem in education. The capital city's engineers will also cope successfully with their objectives in the future, the same it was in year 2014". 

Besides that, on the threshold of September, 1, a branch of JSC "MOESK" - Western Electric Grids has connected to the electric grids a new kindergarten, in rural settlement Pavlovo-Slobodskoye of Istra District.

Grid connection contract of this socially significant facility was concluded in year 2013 between the administration of Istra municipal district and the branch. Within the framework of the contract, the necessary voltage with the power of 0.14 MVA was delivered to the full extent from substation 220/110/10/6 kV "Sloboda". 

It's expected that at the Knowledge Day the new kindergarten for 160 places will open its doors for its small fosters.
