MOESK specialists participated in working out a development concept for relay protection and automation systems of PJSC Rosseti

PJSC Rosseti approved a development concept for relay protection and automation systems (RPAS) of the electric grid facilities complex. The working group responsible for development of the document included RPAS specialists from PJSC “MOESK” and other electric grid companies belonging to the Group of Companies.

The concept was approved by a resolution of the Management Board of the Company for the purposes of implementation of a uniform technical policy throughout the electric grid facilities complex of PJSC Rosseti. Among other things, provisions of the document promote development of a unified approach to creation and modernization of relay protection and automation systems at facilities of MOESK and other electric grid companies belonging to the Rosseti Group of Companies.

Requirements and provisions of the concept will be considered in technical solutions and preparation of regulatory and technical documentation in the field of development of relay protection and automation systems for the electric grid facilities complex.

It is planned to develop RPAS modernization programs in accordance with the required criteria determining the need for renovation.

The concept involves a shift from traditional methods of RPAS devices mode control to remote control and monitoring of their work from control stations of electric grid companies. It corresponds to modern global development tendencies of electrical power engineering and will ensure reliable operation of relay protection and automation devices and minimize costs increasing operational efficiency of the electric grid company.
