On July 4, 2019, as part of the Moscow Urban Forum`2019, "Rosseti" and the Moscow Government signed a cooperation agreement on the development of infrastructure for charging electric buses, cars and two-wheeled electric vehicles in the metropolitan area.

The agreement provides for the creation of a joint working group, the participants of which will develop a unified concept for the development of charging infrastructure, including an economic model for the provision of services for charging electric buses, cars and two-wheeled electric vehicles. When creating the concept, the transport and urban planning policies pursued by the Moscow Government, the experience of providing free parking for electric vehicles at locations of charging infrastructure facilities, as well as the existing infrastructure of "Rosseti", will be taken into account.

For the successful implementation of the agreement, it is planned to prepare draft regulatory legal acts, implement appropriate investment projects, coordinate the process of technological connection of charging infrastructure facilities to city electric networks.

The Rosseti Group of Companies is investing 200 million rubles in the development of the electric grid infrastructure to ensure the operation of electric charging stations.

“The desire of Moscow to improve urban ecology through the introduction of electric buses and electric vehicles poses a serious and important task for power engineers - to ensure reliable and uninterrupted power supply to charging infrastructure facilities, as well as to optimize the process of technological connection of charging stations to electric networks. "Rosseti" plans to become the first federal operator of gas stations in Russia for all electric vehicles, all the more so since the company has already installed 226 filling stations in all regions of its presence, ”Pavel Livinsky, Director General of "Rosseti", said during his speech.

The "Rosseti" company is the operator of one of the largest electric grid complexes in the world. Manages 2.35 million km of power lines, 507 thousand substations with transformer capacity of more than 792 GVA. In 2018, the effective supply of electricity to consumers amounted to 761.5 billion kWh. The number of employees of the Rosseti group of companies is 220 thousand people. The property complex of PJSC "ROSSETI" includes 35 subsidiaries and dependent companies, including 15 interregional, and a backbone grid company. The controlling shareholder is the state represented by the Federal Agency for State Property Management of the Russian Federation, which owns 88.04% of the share capital.
