The Government of the Moscow Region and the "Rosseti Moscow Region" (PJSC MOESK) signed an Agreement on co-operation in the development of the integrated power grid of the Moscow Region.

The agreement provides for the implementation of measures aimed at modernizing the integrated power grid using digital technologies as part of long-term tariff regulation. The ultimate goal is to improve the quality of services provided to consumers of electricity, and to ensure long-term containment of tariff growth for the population.

“The Government of the Moscow region and the regional Ministry of Energy are conducting systematic work to create a favorable investment climate in the Moscow Region. Technical re-equipment of energy facilities, sustainable development of the integrated power grid, including through the consolidation of power grid assets of territorial grid organizations, allotment associations, as well as unpossessed power grids and energy facilities, are the most important tasks, the solution of which will positively affect the quality and reliability of power supply services for residents of the Moscow Region", - Minister of Energy of the Moscow Region Alexander Samarin said.

“For power engineers, it was especially important to get support from the Moscow Region Government in providing compensation in the tariffs for operating and capital expenses for the maintenance and reconstruction of consolidated electric grid assets. This means that the entire power grid, taken to the balance sheet of the company in improper condition, will be repaired and reconstructed as planned", - said Alexey Starostin, Deputy General Director for Corporate Governance and Property of "Rosseti Moscow Region".

Recall that in February of this year, "Rosseti Moscow Region" has significantly simplified the requirements for the process of transferring power grids of associations of gardeners and cottage villages to the company's balance sheet, abandoning the requirements of bringing the grids before transferring to a normative state and the need to take metering devices at the boundary point. At this moment

2 322 allotment associations of the Moscow region entrusted their grids to power engineers of "Rosseti Moscow Region", of which 1,222 were accepted for balance on an expedited basis.

Within the framework of the signed Agreement, the energy companies also commit themselves to the timely and high-quality implementation of the investment program, including the implementation of digital projects. This will improve the reliability and controllability of supply centers with voltage of 35-110 kV and power grids of 0.4-10 kV. The company will also continue to modernize and expand its smart metering system. Only until the end of 2022, the company plans to install 189,905 smart metering devices in the Moscow Region.

Particular attention in the Agreement is paid to work aimed at improving the quality of customer service, including through the creation of modern mobile services. This will allow to take advantage of the full range of services provided by the company, from a mobile phone and online.

The agreement entered into force from the moment of signing and will be valid until December 31, 2028.
