For the third year in a row, "Rosseti" Group, even on the back of the increase in the number of dangerous meteorological events by 48%, qualitatively improves the reliability and safety of power supply to consumers in the autumn and winter period.

During the autumn and winter period 2019-2020, in total in all regions of Rosseti's presence, the number of technological disturbances in grids of all voltage classes, including 0.4 kV, was reduced by 5% compared to the 2018-2019 season. Moreover, even in adverse weather conditions, "Rosseti" returned electricity to consumers on average in less than 1,5 hours, which is 54% faster than 5 years ago.

"New approaches to preparation and risk-oriented management of grid infrastructure facilities during peak loads allowed "Rosseti", despite the growth in the number of dangerous weather events, for the third year in a row to qualitatively improve reliability indicators - one of the highest in the world today. This is, first of all, our employees deserve credit for, they are ready to change, master new skills as part of the digital transformation, constantly improve their own professionalism. I am grateful to the entire team of our company and I urge you to take the same responsible approach to the preparation for the next autumn-winter season in order to get through it even better" said Pavel Livinsky, General Director of "Rosseti".

Despite climate changes leading to the deterioration of weather conditions for the operation of grid companies, "Rosseti" compared to the period from October 15 to April 15, 2018-2019, improved the SAIDI indicator by 9%(average duration of technological disruption per point of delivery), to 0.61 hours and by 2% - the SAIFI indicator (average frequency of interruption of electricity transmission per point of delivery) to 0.41 pcs.

In preparation for the 2019-2020 autumn and winter season, enterprises of the "Rosseti" group carried out a large-scale repair program. On average, for the initial positions, the over fulfillment of planned indicators was 116%. In total, nearly 140 000 kilometres of aerial lines were cleared and over 163 000 kilometres of aerial lines of 35 kV and higher voltage classes were repaired. Also, over 583 supply transformer and over 38 900 transformer substations were repaired. In addition, the repair of 41 500 switching equipment was organized and carried out.

At "Rosseti Moscow Region", the repair program was also carried out in excess of planned targets. In total, 5 724.3 hectares of aerial lines were cleared on the territory of Moscow and the Moscow Region (exceeding the planned values by 22%) and repairs of 1 058.2 kilometres of aerial power lines of 35 kV and higher voltage classes (exceeding 12%) were carried out. 176 supply transformers 35-220 kV were repaired (91% more than planned). 3 784 transformer substations (the excess was 49%) and 607 6-10 kV transformers were repaired (the planned indicators were over fulfilled by 37%).

"Rosseti" also paid traditional attention to personnel training. Before the autumn and winter season 2019-2020, 169 joint exercises were held to eliminate technical disruptions, including with the participation of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia, local authorities, housing, and communal services organizations.
