Eastern Electric Networks, a branch of JSC “MOESK” completed works on reconstruction of an important “Shatura-Bruski”, “Bruski-Egorievsk” 43.3 km transit of overhead electric energy transmission line with capacity of 110 kV.

Works included total replacement of supports of the transmission line for strengthened metal ones, replacement of cable for one of larger section (from 95 square millimeters to 300 square millimeters) for increase in the transit’s output capacity. Workers hanged a ground wire with fiber optic at the whole line. The same ground wire with built fiber optic communication line was additionally assembled at the line from SDPP-5 to “Sportivnaya” 110 kV substation located at Shatura. From this place, dispatch and management of the transit is being carried out.

Due to Sergey Kuznetsov, the Head of the Department for Capital Building of Eastern Electric Networks, modernization of the transmission line became the most large-scale project in 2009-2010 for the branch. Its cost almost achieved RUR 485 million. Sergey Kuznetsov pointed out high importance of the implemented works: “Reconstruction of the line was carried out under the agreement of technical connection aimed at electric capacity output from a new PGU-400 energy block at Shaturskaya SDPP (WGC-4, Wholesale Generating Company). Several days ago, the branch’s engineers put into operation a completely improved overhead transmission line. As of now, the new line is in operation”.

Reconstruction at feeding centers is being actively carried out currently. These centers include “Bruski” and “Egorievsk” 110 kV substations. On completion of these works, transmission of an increased amount of electric energy to consumers from Shaturskaya SDPP will become possible through the improved substations and overhead electric energy transmission line.
