To increase electric energy output and grow reliability in electric energy supply of consumers living in Moscow and Moscow Region, JSC “MOESK” has worked out the project of reconstruction of 110 kV cable line from “Rublevo” substation to “Setun” substation under the investment program. Reconstruction of “Rublevo – Setun” cable line provides for replacement of overhead power transmission line for cable with polyethylene isolator and 1200 square millimeters section. Total length of the line equals 8.5 km. About 55,000 meters of cable will be laid at the line.
High-Voltage Cable Networks implement technical supervision over reconstruction of “Rublevo – Setun” cable line. As of now, construction of 15 building lines form 19 planned (about 80%) has been carried out. Straight jounts were assembled in 12 shafts. Cable line will be provided with modern telemechanical equipment with transmission on information on condition of lines to High-Voltage Cable Networks and Central System Management. Launch of 110 kV “Rublevo – Setun” cable line is planned for the 4th quarter of 2010.
Oleg Rodkin, the Director of the Department for Capital Building of High-Voltage Cable Networks, told: “Relaying of the line in cable with isolation of cross-linked polyethylene provides for solving of several important problems. Firstly, is frees additional area for building. Secondly, launch of such cable line increases reliability in electric energy supply of consumers living at Moscow Region. Thirdly, increase in output capacity of the cable line allows for connection of new consumers as well. It covers both private consumers and objects of city infrastructure being developed”.
