JSC “MOESK” Karateka Won a Victory in All-Russian Tournament

Karen Papikyan from Eastern Electric Grids branch of JSC “MOESK” became the winner of the All-Russian tournament of the Kiokushnikay Karate Open Cup of “SEIKEN” Sports Club. In his weight class – over 90 kg - he defeated his rivals and won the 1st place.

Tournament among the men, women and veterans took place on September 25, 2010 in Orekhovo-Zuyevo city. 69 sportsmen from 15 cities of Russia took part in the tournament.

Karen Papikyan works as the Engineer in the Clients Service Department in Yegorievskiy District of the electric grids. Since 11 years old he’s been doing kiokushnikay – one of the karate types. Despite the young age, he is the acquirer of the black belt (1 dan). He has won a lot of victories. Over the last several years he has become the winner several times, gaining the victories at respectable competitions in his weight class: Far East Open Championship– 3rd place, Amur Region Open Championship – 1st place, Chita Region Championship – 3rd place, Championship of Russia – 1st place, Central Federal District Championship – 1st place, and Command World Cap – 1st place. 

Recently, Karen has become the Master of Sports of Russia. Our warmest congratulations to the colleague, we wish him further track record!
