Western Electric Grids branch of JSC “MOESK took the active part in the act of charity called “September 1”, organized by Moscow United Electric Grid Company. The power engineers of the branch rendered help to several orphanages in the western part of the Moscow area: “Uvarovskiy mentally retarded children orphanage”; Naro-Fominsk special (correction) school and the state body for orphans and children having no parental care called “Novo-Petrovskiy Orphanage”.
It is good to understand that during such a hard time the branch power engineers did not remain indifferent to difficult life situations. By the request of Uvarovskiy Orphanage, they bought the necessary goods for children’s creative work and technical equipment for the total amount of one hundred thousand rubles. The inmates of Uvarovskiy Orphanage are the 4-18 years old mentally retarded children, suffering from the chronic mental diseases requiring the medical and personal treatment. Now the orphanage has 243 children. On the Day of Knowledge, Valeriy Bushmetov, HR Branch Deputy Director, representatives of Western Electric Grids young workers council and journalists of “Podmoskovie” TV channel came to the children. Power engineers came to the class rooms and gave the presents to the children. The inmates prepared the holiday concert for the guests where they demonstrated their creative abilities. The solemn initiation into the first formers took place after that. All in all there are 4 forms in the orphanage. The inmates are being educated according to the special program.
On the eve of the first day of studies the power engineers of Istrinskiy power district bought and brought the writing and study materials and the sports equipment to Novo-Petrovskiy Orphanage for the gathered means.
Before the beginning of the school year, within the framework of activity “September 1” Naro-Fominskiy Power District rendered the help to the supported Naro-Fominsk special (correction) school. For the means gathered by the power engineers they will carry out the repairs of windows, and buy books for the school library.
