On February, 24th 2011 Meeting of Regional Antiterrorist Commission under the chairmanship of Governor of Moscow Region Boris Gromov took place in Government House of Moscow Region.
Members of the Government of Moscow Region, heads of municipal formations of Moscow Region, representatives of law enforcement authorities, heads of several institutions and enterprises took part in work of the meeting.
Participants of meeting discussed issues “On condition and measures on antiterrorist protection of objects of power complex, situated on the territory of Moscow Region”, “On measures for reinforcement of antiterrorist protection of objects of postal services, situated on the territory of Moscow Region” and approved agenda of the next meeting of Antiterrorist Commission of Moscow Region.
Chairman of Fuel and Energy Committee of Moscow Region Tsyren Tsagadaev, Minister of Informational Technologies and Communications of Government of Moscow Region Nikolay Mezhuev presented reports, and heads and representatives of organizations and enterprises of power complex and postal service took part in their discussion. Particularly, Director General of Joint-Stock Company “Moscow United Electric Grid Company” (JSC “MOESK”) Andrey Konovalov pointed out that taking into account significance of this issue budget of antiterrorist activity of “MOESK” in current year will amount to RUR mln 420 (in last year the company spent RUR mln 270 for these aims).
Governor of Moscow Region Boris Gromov pointed out that relevance of antiterrorist activity is maximal. All vital infrastructure, heavily trafficked facilities should be put under close attention. This is an aim for all levels of authority, law enforcement bodies. “Both scheduled and unscheduled check-outs of antiterrorist protection of schools and kindergartens, hospitals and polyclinics, cultural and sport centres, transport facilities, housing and public facilities will be regularly carried out on the territory of Moscow Region, - Boris Gromov pointed out. – It is necessary to act immediately, actively and strictly. Inquiry for defects will be the hardest”.
