The power specialists of Moscow United Electric Grid Company have complied with the program of translation of 61 cable lines at “Semenovskaya” 110/10 kV substation located in the south-west part of Moscow.
According to Alexander Raev, Deputy General Director of JSC “MOESK” – Director of Central Electric Grids, “During the performed works, all consumers of one of the oldest operating energy facilities in Moscow were re-connected to new equipment of the modern feeding center, which was put in operation. The old building of the substation will be dismantled during the following year 2011”.
Let us remind that JSC “Moscow United Electric Grid Company” put into operation “Semenovskaya” 110/10 kV substation in the Southwest District on 25 June of the current year. The reconstructed energy facility is named in honor of Alexander Nikolaevich Semenov, the veteran of the power industry, the deserved worker of the United Energy System of Russia, who was awarded the Orders of Lenin, Courage, “For Merits before the Fatherland” of the III degree and “Honor Badge”.
Construction of the modern building of the substation was completed during renovation of the feeding center. Three power transformers of 63 MVA were mounted. Distribution of 110 kV electric power is carried out by means of the complete switching centre with SF6 insulation (SF6 CSC) - 110 kV. 18 phases of current limiting reactors were installed in order to decrease short circuit currents to the amounts, which are not dangerous for equipment. Six sections of complete switching centre (CSC) - 10 kV were mounted. The capital investments in reconstruction of the whole facility exceed RUR 1.5 billion.
Commissioning of the modern energy unit allowed solution of the problem of deficiency in power supply of the inhabited complexes in Moscow Districts of Cheremushki and Zyunino.
“Semenovskaya” substation ensures supply of power to the consumers of the South-west District of the capital - more than 150 microdistricts with over one million of population. These are 419,000 apartments, 28 industrial enterprises, including “Mosvodokanal”, “Butovo Sewage Structures”, “Butovo Chemical Plant”, “Radio Equipment Repairing Plant”, Automatic Telephone Exchange, “Institute of Management Issues”, Institute of Automatics “Stankoimport”, CB “Precision Engineering”, “Mosgortrans”, etc.
Besides, “Semenovskaya” provides electric power to the educational and socially significant establishments, such as Russian University of People’s Friendship, Russian State University of Oil and Gas named after I.M. Gubkin, Russian State Medical University, Moscow University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, other 180 educational establishments, 46 medical centers, one clinical hospital, 15 orthodox temples and one synagogue.
Reconstruction of the substation is performed according to the investment program of JSC “MOESK” within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement of the Government of Moscow and Energy Specialists in Respect of Improvement of Reliability of Power Supply of Consumers of the Capital.
