The specialists of JSC “MOESK” have started to work in the Koshkinsky EGD (electric grid district) of the Samara Distribution Grids of IDGC of Volga, JSC. On the night of 8 – 9 December, eight emergency recovery brigades of Moscow United Electric Grid Company (43 people) under the order of Nikolay Shvets, General Director of IDGC Holding, OJSC flew to the Samara Area to render assistance to their colleagues in restoration of electricity supply of the Koshkinsky District, which suffered as a result of the cyclone.

Igor Kuznetsov, Deputy Chief Engineer of Samara ID (industrial division) provided the colleagues of MOESK with the on-line information and presented the set of preliminary tasks for the brigade in the Koshkinsky EGD. According to the information provided by him, the area has faced such a situation for the first time. 240 ITS (integrated transformer substations) were disconnected, 80 inhabited settlements were partially disconnected. 249 supports of 10 kV were damaged, which include 85 already restored ones. The situation in 0.4-10 kV grids constantly varies. According to the weather forecasters, the average temperature will be from +1 to -4 degrees within the next few days; strong ice of 20 mm and more will be kept in the north of the area. The works of restoration of electricity supply of consumers in the Koshkinsky District of the Samara Area are held round the clock. For today, more than 150 people and 50 units of special equipment are involved.

Now 12 spans of 0.4 kV power lines have been restored. 95 supports have been installed, 5 km of routes for power lines have been cleared of the blockage of trees and the trees, which are hazardous from the point of view of their potential falling on wires. Electricity supply of the village Chetyrovka has been completely restored.

The works aimed to restore “Sadovaya – Aleksandrovka” 110 kV power line, “Novaya Karmala” 110 kV substation continue. Provision of electricity to 14 settlements with the population of more than 6,000 people will be possible after putting of the electric grids into operation. The emergency recovery works are also arranged at 6 feeders.

Despite the adverse weather conditions, supply of electricity to all disconnected consumers is planned to be completely restored in the near future.
