The power specialists of Moscow United Electric Grid Company restored electricity supply of another 214 transformer centers (TC) for the first half of the daylight hours on 28 December. At 6.00 of 28 December, idle TC equaled 4,781; by 12:30, their quantity decreased to 4,567.

Besides, 2 overhead lines of 110 kV “Ivanovo-Manikhino I” and “Naro-Fominsk-Selyatino I” and “Ivanovo” 110 kV substation providing electricity supply of the like-named settlement were switched on.

Now 424 brigades representing more than 2,270 people are involved in the recovery works in the Moscow Region. Thus, the number of power specialists working to eliminate the consequences of the adverse weather went up almost one and a half time. 174 units of technical equipment are used.

The main problem is still the trees, which fell upon power lines. On 28 December about 600 trees were removed from line “Pakhra-Borisovo” in Central Electric Grids - branch of the company; still nearby 300 ones remain laying on wires, thus 6-7 trees or heavy branches are laying at each span. More than 8 thousand trees have been removed from power lines in Eastern Electric Grids as from the moment of the beginning of electricity supply restoration works.

Now the problems with electricity supply are experienced by the inhabitants of 16 districts of the Moscow Area.
