Western Electric Grids – the branch of JSC “MOESK” have held the media tour for the regional mass media of the west of the Moscow Area. The journalists of the television channel “Odintsovo” and newspaper “Novye Rubezhy” have visited the substation “Odintsov”, where they have examined the course of performance of repairs at the facilities of Western Electric Grids.
Vladimir Pavlyonok, Chief of Odintsovsky Electric Grids District (EGD) emphasized, “The last autumn and winter period (AWP) has shown a high level of reliability of the equipment of the Odintsovsky EGD, which was provided through duly performance of the annual repairs campaign, and full compliance with the planned MOESK Investment Program for the west of the Moscow Area”.
During the media round, the manager has shared the plans and told about the course of preparation of the electric grid equipment for the new AWP 2011 – 2012.
In particular it has been emphasized that the power specialists of the Odintsovsky EGD has been performing the comprehensive repairs of the outdoor switchgear of 110 kV at the substation “Golitsyno” and at the feeding centers “Kubinka” and “Daryino” since February 2011 according to the plan. The major overhaul of 15 power transformers is planned to be held to provide consumers with reliable electric power supply till the end of the year. The volume of works at the distribution grids (0.4, 6-10 kV) will include repairs of 20.72 km of overhead lines, 3.4 km of cable lines (6-10 kV).
The attention of mass-media representatives has been especially drawn to the fact that power specialists apply modern equipment. Protected and self-supporting insulated conductors (SSIW) are used in construction and reconstruction of power lines.
This is the next media round in Western Electric Grids. The representatives of mass media have been already acquainted with the work of WEG earlier. The purpose of the last action is informing the population on the works and measures undertaken by power men to ensure reliable and qualitative power supply of consumers in the west of the Moscow Area by means of acquaintance with the structure of the electric power economic complex.
