”Green Week” was held in the North of Moscow

From 25^th of April to the 2^nd of May in 2011 employees of the branch of JSC “MOESK” Northern electric networks planted 20.780 trees as part of an organized by IDGC Holding, OJSC target program “Electricity Distribution complex - for the environmental control”.

As a result of the abnormal phenomena of winter 2010-2011 in the north of Moscow region 40.000 trees were affected. That figure has served as a guide for employees who took an active part in environmental initiatives of the Holding and JSC “MOESK”. Klin, Pushkin and Solnechnogorsk areas became a center of the action. Mass planting of seedlings was held in close cooperation with the regional offices of the Federal Forestry Agency.

Creating of alleys from blue spruces in the memorial parks of the Victory in Klin and Khimki, as well as mass planting of coniferous trees, mostly pines, became a good contribution of the Company's employees in the restoration of Forestry in Moscow Region.

According to Deputy Director General of JSC “MOESK” - Director of the Northern electric networks Vladimir Shitin, staff of the branch do not intend to be satisfied with what has already been achieved. The Company will continue to implement target program of IDGC Holding, OJSC, following the highest standards of social responsibility of Moscow United Electric Grid Company.
