Clearing of routes of electric power transmission lines – priority direction of work of power engineers of JSC “MOESK”

Annually JSC “Moscow United Electric Grids Company” realizes complex program on clearing of routes of overhead electric power transmission lines.

Due to results of five months of this year branch of JSC “MOESK” – Western Electric Grids carried out clearing of forest corridors from sprouts in distribution grids (OL 0.4, 6-10 kV) on square of more than 177.7 ha. In high-voltage grids (OL 35-110-220 kV) from the beginning of year 109.3 ha is cleared.

Personnel of branch, executing route clearing using own resources, is provided by necessary instruments: manual brush breakers, petrol-driven power saws, and also special machines – “Varta” tractor. It allows to use more effective method of clearing from trees and shrubs, during which full utilization of brush woods with uniform coverage of topsoil with woodchip is carried out.

At present contracting routes clearing began. Contracting organizations according to agreement conditions should fulfill all complex of works, beginning from preparation of consent documents, felling licenses and ending with utilization of wastes and realization of commercial timber.

Clearing of routes of electric power transmission lines of different voltage class is carried out in frames of Program of Repairs. Supposed expenses for repair campaign of 2011 will amount to more than RUR mln 770.

All arrangements are aimed at providing of qualitative and no-break electric power supply of consumers in western direction of Moscow Region.
