Within the framework of the investment program, JSC “Moscow United Electric Grid Company” continues reconstruction of 110/35/10 kV “Naro-Fominsk” substation.

To date, two power autotransformers of capacity of 63 MVA have been installed at the main feeding center of the Naro-Fominsk District; a foundation for the third one is implemented. For the purposes of voltage control, booster transformers (BT) were installed in the 10 kV electric grids. Power engineers are installing four gas-insulated circuit breakers on the side of 110 kV. Translation of feeding from outdoor switchgear of 35 kV to a new modular indoor switchgear of 35 kV significantly reduce the time of construction and commissioning works.

Automated measuring and information system for electric power fiscal accounting (AMISEPFA) is used to improve the accuracy of metering transmitted electricity; automated process control system (APCS) can help dispatchers control the operation of equipment remotely.

The total transformer capacity of the substation will increase from 103 MVA to 189 MVA, which will significantly increase the reliability of power supply of the residents of Naro-Fominsk, and nearby two hundred and several tens of industrial enterprises of the district.

All modernization works are carried out without customer curtailment.

Completion of reconstruction of the substation built in 1954 is scheduled by autumn-winter 2013-2014.
