In 2012, the Moscow Cable Grids (MCG) – the branch of JSC “MOESK” - provides reliable power supply for consumers in the Eastern District of the capital. Energy specialists switched seven preschool educational institutions, school, sports and recreation center to permanent power supply. They fulfilled the investment and maintenance program to replace worn cables, eliminate stub power supply schemes, replacement of overloaded equipment. Eight overloaded transformer substations in distribution grids were reconstructed.

In close collaboration with the prefecture and administrations, 14 skating rinks, 6 multi-service centers, 85 mobile trading floors with the total capacity of 1.228 MW obtained power. The work of energizing facilities in the fourth inner-city ring road continues.

These data were announced at the meeting of the Cable Grids Administration (CGA) of the Eastern District of the capital. Unconditional performance of targets in maintenance and investment program, reduction in cable lines damage, improved document management, especially regarding grid connection, improved health and safety were stated by Leonid Mazo, director of MCG as priority lines in the Eastern Administrative District.

In discussing the tasks, the importance to ensure continuity and reliability of provided electrical energy to all consumers was noted, but the need for a priority approach to the objects within the capital program was emphasized. It concerns construction of schools, kindergartens, multipurpose centers, social and cultural facilities.

Leonid Mazo also paid special attention of the staff to the program of additional services provision. “Moscow Cable Grids” constantly review the needs of the market and offer new services. Potential customers of products and services consumers of MOESK can be enterprises, organizations and individuals that use in their work a variety of motors and transformers, but don’t have repair subdivisions in their structure,” he said.
