Branch of JSC “Moscow United Electric Grid Company” – Southern Electric Grids continues reconstruction of 110 kV substation (SS) “Aparenki” in Leninskiy district of Moscow region, which began in 2008.

During 2011-2012 both power transformers 25 MVA were replaced to 63 MVA. Works on installation of oil receiver tank, oil sinks and firewater tank were preliminarily carried out.

By now mounting of 10 kV 2-section closed switchgear, designed for 12 linear cells with the use of vacuum circuit breakers and 2 current limiting reactors, is carried out.

Power engineers continue installation of lead-in and bus section vacuum 10 kV circuit-breakers, new microprocessor protection devices. At the exposed substation part ground for installation of 110 kV outdoor switchgear is being prepared. During the 2nd-3rd quarter of the current year oil-immersed equipment will be replaced to SF6, which meets the highest requirements of operation and reliability, and also having a long service term. Therefore reconstruction of switchgear will reduce the number of planned and current repairs, what will increase power system work reliability.

It is planned to equip power centre with modern automated technological processes management systems with the use of fiber-optic communication lines. The new equipment is characterized by the system of monitoring, diagnostics and management, which allows adjusting its working parameters and technical state.

The whole complex of reconstruction works is calculated till the end of 2013.

110 kV substation “Aparenki” was constructed in 1953 and performs power supply of Leninskiy district of Moscow region. Modernization of substation will bring it into the line of power centers of new generation, and so will increase reliability and quality of power supply of the consumers of Southern Moscow region, social and industrial objects. Capacity increase of power centre for more than two times will also allow connecting new electric power consumers to the Company’s grids.
