IMG_5728.jpgOn 16 April this year, Moscow hosted the II Moscow Interdisciplinary Forum “Comprehensive Approach to Ensure Industrial and Environmental Safety in Modern Conditions”.

The main objective of the forum was to maintain an effective dialogue between the representatives of the professional community and government agencies on issues of industrial and environmental safety, current and future changes in legislation, self-regulation aspects in the field of industrial safety. Regular views exchange on key aspects of industrial safety is necessary not only to address current problems but also to identify prospective areas of the industry development.

The official part of the II Moscow Interdisciplinary Forum was followed by a ceremony of awarding the companies which proved to be the most responsible in the field of the issues of industrial and environmental safety. JSC “MOESK” achieved a lot in this field. The Company won in the nomination “For high standards in industrial safety and health”. The award emphasized the competence, reliability and high professional performance of the Company which contributed a lot to development of the country industrial sector.

Provision of industrial safety is an integral feature of economic development. On 15 March of this year, the amendments to Federal Law #116 “On industrial safety of hazardous production facilities” came into effect, according to which the Russian Federation Rostehnadzor begins re-registration of hazardous production facilities under four classes and begins to change the structure of holding the supervisory activities. Establishment of systems of industrial safety management of an enterprise, refinement of criteria for classification of hazardous production facilities, improvement of procedure of examination are main lines of the work designated by N.G. Kut’in, head of the Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Supervision at the meeting of the Presidential Commission on the Issues of the Fuel and Energy Complex and Environmental Safety Development Strategy on 13 February 2013.
