During the next phase of the comprehensive reconstruction of 110/10/6 kV substation #429 “Sheremet’yevo”, the technical specialists of the branch of JSC “MOESK” – “Northern Electric Grids” placed the 110 kV overhead line (OL) “Sheremet’yevo – Lugovaya” into a new switchgear (OS) and energized it under the permanent scheme. Earlier, the 110 kV “Bely Rast – Sheremet’yevo” OL was placed into a switchgear and energized under the permanent scheme.

Now the foundation of the substation is prepared for transformer T-2 of 63 MVA in capacity to be installed there. The next step is relaying of OL “Sheremet’yevo – Dolgoprudnaya” with a branch line” to a new OS, preparation of the foundation for the second transformer of 63 MVA and “bus bridge”. In the future, the old OS will be completely dismantled.

The new switchgear is mounted under the scheme “two working busbars”, which enables connection of three 110 kV OL, two transformers of 63 MVA and coupling circuit-breaker. Six cells of the new outdoor switchgear of 110 kV are equipped with explosion- and fire-protection switches made by German company “Siemens”. They have a relatively low weight, high corrosion resistance of the coating; they are economical and have a long lifespan. The technicians of the northern branch of JSC “MOESK”, who passed a special training at the manufacturing plant will maintain the gas-insulated breakers.

It should be noted that the comprehensive reconstruction of the substation “Sheremet’yevo”, which will increase its capacity by a third, will improve quality of power supply not only for the international airport “Sheremet’yevo”, but also for the north of the Moscow Area - this is a contribution of MOESK’s energy specialists in implementation of the program “Our Moscow Area. Development priorities”. Presenting it to the residents of the Moscow Area, acting governor of the Moscow Area Andrey Vorob’yov defined affordable electricity as one of the major tasks, which will open new enterprises in the region, will provide an opportunity for its further dynamic industrial development.
