Application of JSC “MOESK” for receiving a patent on a charging station for electric vehicles, developed in the energy company, has been considered and approved by the Federal Intellectual Property Service (Rospatent).

In the course of an expert examination performed by Rospatent it was discovered that a useful model of electric charging submitted by “MOESK” refers to the objects of patent rights, and application documents are in compliance with statutory requirements of the RF Civil Code.

The research work on creation of a charging station pilot model was performed within the project “MOESK-EV”, initiated by “Moscow United Electric grid Company” in 2011. One-of-a-kind project – the first in Russia – on infrastructure development for electric vehicles is within the territory of the Moscow region. It should be recalled that in the course of its realization “MOESK” also received a patent on a specially designed Software package for the charging station process management. The ‘smart” model of electric charging is a well proven solution, which can be integrated into Smart Grid as well.

“This year, within the framework of research and development activities (R&D), we plan to start the work on ultrafast charging station development for electric buses (electrically powered buses – as noted), – tells Deputy Director for IT, Strategy and Business-Processes of JSC ‘MOESK” Denis Tsypulyov. – Besides, the corporate electric vehicle fleet expansion covering the operating personnel’s needs, as well as new charging stations installation within the territory of the capital region, are planned”.
