At 110/35/10 kV “Naro-Fominsk” substation (SS) the construction of the building for a modular indoor switchgear (KRUM) of 35 kV has been completed. The given engineering solution allows to compact all the substation’s modern electrical equipment under the same roof.

The building of modular configuration, fitted with thermal insulation, will secure the new equipment from environmental attack. Thereby, the equipment service life will be extended, ecological compatibility and safety of a power facility, located in the central part of Naro-Fominsk, will be improved.

For capacity transit from the feeding center the power engineers of Western Electric Grids – a branch of JSC “Moscow United Electric Grid Company” - reconnected 35 kV “Naro-Fominsk – Slyudinit 2” overhead transmission line to the new equipment. When the necessary works are performed, 35 kV “Naro-Fominsk – Slyudinit 1” overhead transmission line will be energized under the same scheme.

By the end of 2013 it is planned to complete the construction of SF6 outdoor switchgear (OS) of 110 kV at the substation being reconstructed. Activation of two new power autotransformers with 63 MVA each and work completion on SS “Naro-Fominsk” renovation are scheduled for 2014.

Hence, as a result of arrangements being performed, the facility’s total transformer capacity will increase by 89 MVA, which will significantly enhance reliability and quality of power supply to the residents of Naro-Fominsk District and allow connecting new customers to the company’s grids.

The given project has been implemented within the investment program framework of the western branch of “MOESK” and is included in the program of Acting Governor of the Moscow Region Andrei Vorob’yov named as “Our Moscow Region. Priorities of Development”.
