In the first half of 2013 year the consumption of electric energy in grids of JSC "Moscow United Electric Grid Company" (MOESK) grew by 1.66% as compared to the same period last year which amounted to 44,312.8 million kWh. Thus, the power growth rate is fixed at 4.5% in June 2013.
"This positive trend is explained by the natural annual electricity consumption growth, as well as the development of areas of New Moscow and the Moscow region", Sergei Saltykov, Director for Service Implementation of JSC "MOESK" said.
The company's specialists notice that during the summer peak loads MOESK power grid equipment works without significant technological failures affecting system reliability. The capital region grid complex in the area of company responsibility operates without failures.
The increase in growth rate for grid connection of new customers to the company grids is also noted. Power engineers continue improving the mechanisms of cooperation with consumers, in particular, developing online services. In addition, systematic work within the framework of investment programs implementation is carried out aiming at development of JSC “MOESK” grids. It is about increasing the power of existing feeding centers, construction of new facilities, including taking into account the plans of the city and regional administrations for the territories development.
