The branch of JSC "MOESK" Western Electric Grids (WEG) is implementing the program for preparation of distribution grids (0.4-6-10 kV) for the autumn and winter period 2013-2014 ahead of schedule.

For today, clearing of almost 112 hectares of 0.4-10 kV overhead lines (OL) from trees and undergrowth has been performed, which is by 89.5 hectares more than the planned volume. 122.6 km of bare aluminum wire have been replaced by modern self-supporting insulated wire of type SSIW-2 and SSIW -3 (against the target of 90.8 km). The percentage of completion of the actions related with PL (power line) supports renovation currently amounts to 147%. Comprehensive repairs of 146 facilities have been performed in distribution centers instead of the planned 41 ones.

Total costs of the repair campaign in 2013 in the western branch of JSC "MOESK" will exceed RUR 578 mn.

According to Victor Ivanov, director of WEG, high-quality preparation of the electric grid complex will enable energy specialists of the enterprise to obtain a certificate of readiness for winter in a timely manner and without any remarks, as well as to provide reliable and quality power supply to consumers during the period of low temperatures.
