JSC "Moscow United Electric Grid Company" (MOESK) during the year will participate in many city programs. One of the projects for the decoration of facades of energy facilities has been fit well into the framework of the festival "The best city in the world", which is organized by the Moscow Culture Department.
According to the plan, in July - September 2013, the look of 150 transformer substations located in residential neighborhoods, pedestrian zones, parks and places of recreation for Muscovites and Moscow guests will be changed. The branch of MOESK – Moscow Cable Grids has drafted and approved the address list of substations for decoration of facades with graffiti. Professional artists will put their drawings at the power facilities which are agreed with city authorities. In addition, energy specialists offer to hold polls among residents so that they could themselves choose among proposed designs. All works will be carried out taking into account the architectural features of the districts of the capital. Particular attention is paid to the center of Moscow.
“The project of energy specialists and the Culture Department has great aesthetic value,” Leonid Mazo, the branch Director says. “Initiative of MCG engineers is combined organically with the yards improvement work held in the city. Comprehensive artistic approach in construction of playgrounds in the yards and in decoration of transformer substations facades provides creation of the comfortable environment.”
When putting drawings, the specific nature of facilities will be taken into consideration. The signs warning of the danger will be preserved. In addition to the decorations in the corporate style of the energy company, transformer substations will contain logo of the enterprise and necessary background information.
