Branch of JSC “Moscow United Electric Grid Company” - Central Electric Grids (CEG) has completed the next reconstruction stage of 110/10/6 kV substation (SS) “Tkatskaya”.

Some of these days a new transformer T-2 with the capacity of 80 MVA was put into service; it had been installed instead of the obsolete transformer with the capacity of 63 MVA. Within the framework of the investment program implementation in order to increase the reliability and capacity of the feeding center, the longitudinal coupling breakers 6 and 10 kV were also substituted, a new SF6 circuit breaker 110 kV with the modern microprocessing protection devices was installed.

Last year, in the reconstruction course at SS “Tkatskaya”, the similar works were carried out, related with the substitution of transformer T-1. So, after putting into service of the second transformer with the capacity of 80 MVA, the transmission capacity of the feeding center increased by one third.

The next stage of the substation renovation will become the works on the second start-up facility in substitution of arcing ground suppressors and installation of the automatic control system of the electrical equipment.

SS “Tkatskaya” was put into operation in year 1957. The feeding center provides the socially and economically significant facilities of the capital city with electric power: Moscow zoological garden, a loco shed of underground “Fili”, State Unitary Enterprise “Mosgortrans”, a part of the infrastructure of the Third ring road, sports complex “Luzhniki”, a pump station of TPP-7, healthcare facilities, schools, kindergartens and residential houses of Krasnopresnensky district of Moscow.

- Substation “Tkatskaya” is one of the central substations of the capital city. Due to the capacity increase of the feeding center the power supply reliability of the consumers is growing, - specified Director of CEG Vsevolod Ivanov. – And the installed new modern equipment increases significantly the safety level under its operation, influences positively of the quality of the electric power delivered to the consumers. But the most important thing is the fact that upon the reconstruction completion SS “Tkatskaya” will be opened for the technological connection of the new consumers”.

Till the year end CEG plans to invest RUR 107 mln to the reconstruction of SS “Tkatskaya”. The estimated cost of the works for the feeding center renovation, which should be completed next year, amounts to RUR 341 mln 691 ths.
