In the preparation course to the forthcoming autumn and winter period (AWP) the power engineers of branch of JSC “MOESK” – Eastern Electric Grids are fulfilling successfully the planned repair program.

For six months the financing scope has exceeded RUR 200 mln, thereby more than half this sum has used by an economic way.

According to the plans of the program the routes of 35-220 kV overhead lines (OL) have been cleared off, more than 3,700 insulators have been substituted at an area of more than 230 ha. Favorable summer weather conditions are made use of; the power engineers of the Eastern Moscow region are gaining steadily the repair work tempos. Towards the beginning of August 19 power transformers were repaired, including those at the substations: #194 “Kislorodnaya” in Balashikha distribution zone, # 767 “Zuevo” in Orekhovo-Zuevo distribution zone, #797 “Diesel” in Kolomna distribution zone. More than 200 oil circuit breakers were also repaired.

In the distribution grids following the results of the first half year, 83.3 ha of the forest corridors (41% from the plan) were cleared off. Thereby the mostly large-scale works – at 23.8 ha – were carried out on 0.4–10 kV OL of Kolomna distribution zone and on 12 ha of the distribution grids of Shatura distribution zone. Over 60 km of the wire were also substituted on the low-voltage lines, among them more than half the wire – was self-supporting insulating wire (SSIW). 4 km of the cable lines and 567 poles were substituted, and over 200 transformer substations were repaid.

Currently the repair works are being continued actively. The fulfillment of the primary work scopes should be completed towards the 1st of October if the current year. The gained high tempo of the works gives surety that they will be fulfilled with good quality and in term.

Totally in the course of the repair program implementation of year 2013, the Eastern branch of the Company plans to use over RUR 610 mln.

Power engineers expect that the repair program fulfillment will make it possible to increase the quality and reliability of the power supply of consumers of the Eastern Moscow Region in the autumn and winter period of years 2013-2014.
