MOESK Reduces Noise Level Produced by Electric Grid Facilities’ Operation

In 2013 JSC “Moscow United Electric Grid Company” (MOESK) continues implementing the arrangements to reduce a noise level produced by the function of the electric grid facilities.

Last year MOESK elaborated the Production Control Program of the sanitary rules and norms observance as to the impact of the noise and electromagnetic radiation on the environment. For this year the analyses carrying out of the physical factors impact is planned for 108 substations.

All the newly constructed and reconstructed substations of MOESK in the capital city’s region, located in a close proximity to the dwelling sector, are equipped obligatorily with the noise suppression devices. The arrangements are planned, among other things, on basis of the held analysis of the total level of noise of each energy facility.

Complex of the held arrangements is one of the trends of the Ecological Policy implementation of JSC “MOESK”. Control over the pollutants release with sewage waters is also exercised in the electric grid company, accounting is maintained in the sphere of the industrial waste management, the ecological standing of the land resources is controlled, the arrangements to protect air basin are implemented.

To improve the management system in the sphere of the environment protection and nature management, MOESK carried out one more supervisory audit in 2012, following the results whereof a decision has been issued, that the integrated management system complies with the requirements of the international standards ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007.

Last year JSC “MOESK” directed over RUR 104 mln to fulfill the arrangements in the sphere of the environment protection and ecological safety provision.
