Power engineers of “Moscow United Electric Grid Company” will assist to liquidate the consequences of flood in the Far East. Ten mobile electric power stations (MEPS), by five units with the capacity of 50 kW and 80 kW will be directed for the quick connection of consumers to the power supply in the mostly problematic regions. A respective solution was passed at a meeting of the Headquarters of the electric grid complex of JSC “Russian Grids” (a majority shareholder of MOESK) which took place the last Sunday.

“MEPS are mobile and can be used as a reserve power supply source in open venues, during carrying out the repair and recovery and other construction works. The capacity of one such station is sufficient to connect a small multi-family house, – tells Deputy Technical Director for the distribution grids of JSC “MOESK” Andrey Miridonov. – The application efficiency of the mobile electric power stations has been proved through the example of the capital city’s region. Towards the beginning of the autumn and winter period the power engineers of MOESK will have 146 MEPS of different voltage”.

They specified at the meeting of the Headquarters, that the situation in the Far East regions which had been exposed to flood, remained complicated. The electric grid complex’s standing in the Amur region, the Khabarovsk Territory and the Jewish Autonomous Region is controlled for twenty-four hour period. Inspections of the energy facilities are being carried out, which turned out to be in the underflood area, an emergency reserve is formed in a sufficient quantity, the works for the defects identification of the PTL poles are being carried out and preparation to the repair and recovery works, which will be started at once after water run-off.
