Within the framework of the investment program implementation for the feeding centers renovation of the capital city, JSC “MOESK” has started fulfilling the next reconstruction stage of 220/110/10 kV substation “Grazhdanskaya” of branch Central Electric Grids (CEG).

Project with the cost estimate of over RUR 2 bln was started the last year and will be completed towards year 2018. About RUR 610 mln is planned to be invested into the reconstruction till the current year end.

On the first stage a modern building of a factory-assembled switchgear SF6-gas insulated (FASG) 220 kV was constructed. It was constructed near the available building of 220-110 kV FASG. Now they are preparing the premise to the installation of the new SF6-insulated equipment produced abroad, which has been already brought to the substation. It will be installed instead of the obsolete domestic equipment, which had been operated over the period of 20 years. Three auxiliary transformers with the capacity each by 630 kVA will be also substituted by the new ones with the capacity each by 1000 kVA. The scheme of the electric power supply to the consumers will be improved: with two bus systems and bus coupler circuit-breaker.

As soon as the installation of the modern SF6-insulated equipment is completed in the new 220 kV FASG, the obsolete equipment will be dismantled. The new foreign production SF6-insulated equipment 110 kV will be installed instead of it – smaller and more reliable. So in the territory of the substation two buildings will function to the full extent: 220 kV FASG and 110 kV FASG.

“Renovation of substation “Grazhdanskaya” is made in order to increase reliability, quality and safety of the consumer power supply. Additional cells will appear in the new 220 kV FASG, which will make it possible to energize the new facilities. Also including 220/20 kV substation “Vagan’kovskaya” of JSC “Energocomplex” which is being built, – commented the Director of CEG Vsevolod Ivanov.

Substation “Grazhdanskaya” is located in the Northern administrative district of Moscow and provides many socially and economically significant facilities with electric power. Among them there are JSC “Bakery plant 5”, State Unitary Enterprise “Mosgortrans”, Trade Center “Start”, the Underground, hospitals, schools, kindergartens.
