The branch of JSC “MOESK” - Northern Electric Grids (NEG) has completed renovation of the switching equipment fully at the 35 kV substations “Gromovo”, “Vakhromeevo” and “Zaprudnya”.

Technicians of NEG mounted 19 modern 35 kV vacuum circuit breakers at these feeding centers. The new switching equipment was installed instead of the Bulgarian oil switches MMO and domestic switches VMT the full operating life of which had been exhausted completely.

IMG_0259.jpgThe 35 kV feeding centers in the responsibility area of the northern branch of MOESK bears large social burden. For example, the substation “Vakhromeevo”, “Katuar” and “Bazarovo” feed 3 schools, 11 boiler houses, 2 kindergartens, four sewage treatment plants, 3 post offices, 2 administration buildings.

According to the director of JSC “MOESK” branch - Northern Electric Grids Alexey Irzhak, the work of renovation of the switching equipment will result in improvement of the quality and reliability of electricity supply in the responsibility area of the branch, and first of all - social facilities.

Before the end of 2013, switching equipment will be replaced at the 35 kV substations “Grachevo”, “Gvozdevo”, “Gorbunovo”, “Gorlovo”, “Gudovo”, “Zaprudnya”, “Klin”, “Babaiki”.

The program for replacement of 110 kV oil switches was completely performed at earlier stages of work at the substations of the northern branch of MOESK.

100 new vacuum circuit breakers of 35 and 110 kV will be installed in total this year at the feeding centers of the north of the Moscow Area.
