The electric power substation (S) 220/110/6 kV "Ucha" goes through the last stage of reconstruction of the outdoor switch-gear (OSG) of 220 kV. Works are carried out by the technical experts of JSC "MOESK" branch Northern electric grids since 2011. For this period, oil filled equipment, difficult in service and repair, was replaced by SF6-insulated equipment at outdoor switch-gear (OSG) of 110 kV and OSG of 220 kV.
During the electric power substation reconstruction, the common substation control panel (CSCP) was built, which has modern storage batteries and new direct-current boards. S "Ucha” applies the advanced control and protection systems on the basis of the microprocessor equipment, providing a brand new level of technological and operative service of the supply center.The supply center is provided with the newest monitoring system, allowing fixing and eliminating disturbance in the equipment work quickly.
Built in the year of 1972, "Ucha" is a system substation supporting the grid of 110 kV of Mytishchinsky and Pushkinsky Districts of the Moscow Area. Power supply of these areas population (358,000 persons) is carried out via the grid 6 kV, widespread infrastructure of zones of rest, and consumer of the first category – Northern water supply station JSC "Mosvodokanal" – large and strategically important facility for the capital life-support.
Substation “Ucha” together with the line 220 kV “TPP- 27 – "Ucha"” provides capacity output from the combined cycle power unit of 450 megawatt.
“Installation of two power transformers 40 MVA and two autotransformers of 250 MVA at the final stage of electric power substation "Ucha" reconstruction will essentially increase power efficiency of High Voltage Line 110 kV from TPP -27 to grid all over the North of the Moscow Area and will create technical possibility for new consumers connection,” Aleksey Irzhak, director of JSC "MOESK" branch Northern Electric Grids said.
