MOESK Has Put into Operation Reconstructed Cable Line “TPP-12 – MGU” in Moscow West

Implementing its the investment program, High-voltage cable grids – JSC "MOESK" branch developed the project of reconstruction of cable-air-line (CAL) of 110 kV “TPP-12 – MGU 1,2”, constructed in 1982. As a result of reconstruction, in the site from the indoor switch-gear (ISG) 110 kV TPP-12 to the lead-over point (LP) #1, the worn out and outdated oil filled cable and cable accessories were replaced by modern cable with isolation made of sewed polyethylene. This site is lockable that is why it was impossible to output capacity from S "MGU" before reconstruction.

The length of the reconstructed site is more than 800 meters, about 5,500 meters of cable of section 2,000 sq. mm. were put in operation. Such cable size allowed increasing transmission line capacity. JSC "Moskabel’set’montazh", subsidiaries and affiliates of MOESK carried out reconstruction to the highest standard and in time.

“The cable line is located in the Western administrative district of Moscow and TPP-12,” Eduard Podadayev, director of JSC "MOESK" branch High-Voltage Cable Grids said. “Works were carried out within the limits of JSC "MOESK" investment program for electric capacity output increasing and enhancement of consumers electrical supply reliability of the Western administrative district of Moscow. Electric power supply reliable system availability is one of the obligatory condition of economic development of the capital WAD.”
