To increase the qualitative indices of the Moscow region consumers' power supply, JSC "MOESK" implements annually the complex of the arrangements at the areas of the distribution grids with the voltage of 0.4-10 kV.
In particular, based on the results of the first half year of the current year, laying of 484 km modern self-supporting insulated conductor (SSIC) has been made in the territory of the Moscow Region at 6-10 kV overhead lines; SSIC is more reliable and durable as compared to the ordinary wires. 155 km of overhead power transmission lines have been substituted by SSIC at the grids with the voltage of 0.4 kV. Totally, till the year end they plan to substitute over 1690 km of the grids.
Let us specify that these goal-oriented programs are synchronized with the arrangements for bringing of routes and forest corridors along PTL to the normative standing in order to exclude cases of falling down trees on wires. In total, the works will be performed at the area of 590 hectare.
Program for installation of the automatic reclosing switches (ARS) in the distribution grids of JSC "MOESK" in year 2014 provides for an installation of 80 ARS. It's necessary for a quick disconnection of a damaged area of an overhead power transmission line, as well as for the automatic switch on of the backup power of the grid's areas. 41 ARS have already been installed in I half year.
Besides that, periodic examinations of overhead lines and transformer substations are carried out, the state of the wooden and concrete poles of PTL is checked, the heat monitoring of the energy facilities is made, resistance force of earthing devices, as well as that of the loads and voltage is measured regularly at the transformers and outgoing lines.
Power engineers of MOESK perform the main scope of the works at 0.4-10 kV distribution grids within the framework of the preparation to the forthcoming autumn and winter period.
