In 2014 MOESK increased by 65% the number of the consumers connected to electric grids

In 2014, specialists of MOESK (a company of the Rosseti Group) accepted over 88 thousand technological connection requests. Over 84 thousand applicants requested the capacity of up to 150 kW.

The number of technological connection contracts concluded was over 68.6 thousand.

The company showed a significant increase in contracts performance, that is in actual technological connection of consumers. Over 58 thousand technological connection contracts were performed in 2014, which is 65% more than in 2013 being 35 thousand contracts. The average of over 150 consumers were connected every day to the MOESK electric grids in 2014. The connected capacity totaled 2 500.2 MW, which is 63% more than in 2013 (1 531 MW).

The growth is caused, among other things, by development of interactive services. The specialized Technological Connection Portal of JSC MOESK is updated and improved on a regular basis. Since 2014, a customer of the company can request technological connection and other services of the electric grid company on-line, via “My profile”, which significantly facilitates the procedure and reduces the number of visits to customer services offices.

Popularity of the service is growing: since the beginning of the year over 13 thousand on-line connection requests were submitted on the portal via “My profile”, which accounted for 15.1% of the total number of requests in 2014.

In 2014, in order to reduce the time frame for connection to electric grids of JSC “MOESK” and suit the convenience of customers, there were offered a possibility to submit technological connection request and conclude a power supply contract at the same time. This requires that a relevant note should be made when submitting the request.

“This novelty became possible through cooperation of JSC “MOESK” and JSC “Mosenergosbyt”, said Aleksandr Pyatigor, Deputy General Director for Technological Connection and Service Development. “The “single” request option allows for concluding a power supply contract in customer service offices of JSC “MOESK” without having to visit an energy supplying company. Issuance of permits for electricity metering devices and voltage input on-site are carried out directly by JSC “MOESK” employees.
