Moscow United Electric Grid Company (a company of the Rosseti Group), solving the task of import substitution, commenced testing a prototype of the first Russian charging station for electric vehicles.

The charging station manufactured by Ryazan State Instrument-making Enterprise was installed at the premises of Moscow Cable Grids, a branch of MOESK, at bld.1, 36 Sadovnicheskaya st. Any holder of MOESK-EV card can use the charging station.

Technical characteristics of the experimental “Fora” charging station of “Mode 3” standard are as good as the characteristics of its foreign counterparts (an electric vehicle is connected to AC power supply, 220 V and 16 A / 380 V and 32 A residential distribution network) and can be used to recharge electric vehicles of all manufacturers. The station is equipped with an information display showing the entire algorithm of actions in Russian.

“A full-scale testing of the Russian charging station will be carried out until the end of 2015 and proposals of MOESK specialists will serve as the basis for putting the new Russian charging station into mass production,” said Sergey Stepnov, Deputy Director for Business Processes Automation of JSC “MOESK”.
