JSC “MOESK” (a company of the Rosseti Group) introduces an innovative solution aimed at reducing the time required for restoration of electricity supply to consumers.

After reviewing the main stages of response and restoration works, relations between them and their scope, specialists defined how it is possible to optimize the process of restoring the electricity supply significantly. For this purpose, the company decided to develop emergency response charts, whose integral parts are a plan and a scheme of identifying the location of the fault point.

The plan of identifying the fault point describes step-by-step actions to be taken by the personnel to respond to a technological disturbance broken down by time at each stage. They include switching to localize the damaged section of electric power transmission lines, switching consumers to the backup power supply, provision of a mobile power station, workplace preparation, etc.

The scheme of identifying the fault point (with geographical reference) includes the optimal personnel arrival routes and access routes to transformer substations or damaged sections of electric power transmission lines.

According to Alexey Ryabukhin, Head of MOESK Emergency Response Department, “the charts are developed based on the most complicated scenario of the technological disturbance. The use of emergency response charts will make it possible to streamline and plan actions of the personnel. Emergency response charts for 6-10 kV overhead cable lines do not only regulate the process of identifying the fault point but also help to develop technical measures reducing the time to eliminate the consequences of technological disturbances. ”

MOESK is the first Russian company to introduce emergency response maps for optimizing the internal business processes to maximize the effectiveness of operating activities.
