The eastern branch of JSC “MOESK” (belonging to the Rosseti Group of Companies) actively implements the program of electrical equipment repair and clearance of forest corridors along overhead transmission lines in order to maintain a high level of reliability of electric power supply to consumers.

In the east of the Greater Moscow Area, special attention is paid to the distribution zones that are most exposed to risks caused by adverse weather conditions, namely Shatursky, Orekhovo-Zuevsky, Kolomensky and Lukhovitsky.

Orekhovo-Zuevsky distribution zone personnel replace supports and bushings and repull wires in the villages of Stolbunovo and Khotechi. Moreover, supporting insulator are replaced in the localities of Varyukovka, Filimakino, Dorofeevo, Pogostishche, Pestovskaya and Luzgarino of Shatursky distribution zone.

A significant amount of work was completed in Lukhovitsky district, which involved replacement of surge arrestors and installation of supports in the localities of Bulgakovo, Chuprikovo, Perevitsky Torzhok and Ozertsy. Jumpers and coupling sleeves were installed on 10 kV cable line feeding the water supply facility.

The total of 1645 km of transmission lines of all voltage categories is planned to be repaired in 2015 in the area of responsibility of Eastern Electric Grids of MOESK within the framework of implementation of the repair program. 22 power transformers of 35-110 kV and 793 switching devices installed in main substations as well as 325 transformer substations of 6 (10) kV will be repaired. Almost 455 ha of forest corridors along transmission lines will be brought into conformity with the standards. Furthermore, in order to enhance operational reliability of the lines, during the year the works on replacement of non-insulated wire of 6-10 kV overhead lines with modern self-supporting insulated wire will continue.

In accordance with the approved plan, most of the scheduled repair works MOESK is to perform in Q3 before the beginning of the autumn and winter period.
